Drive The Globe is hosting another Canadian Adventure. This trip will encompass Labrador and Western Newfoundland, including the spectacular Gros Morne National Park. We will visit L Anse aux Meadows, the site of one of the first North American Viking settlements, the beautiful fjords of Western Brook Pond, Gros Morne National Park and the remote towns of Labrador. We depart from Quebec City, Quebec and wind through Labrador first, before taking a ferry across to Newfoundland. This route affords us the luxury of havig not to backtrack on the only road in Labrador. We spend the bulk of our time in Western Newfoundland camped overlooking the ocean. We expect to limit this trip to 6 vehicles. The driving is on improved and gravel surfaces. Vehicles must be comfortable and suitable for a camping environment.

Please refer to route map. Click here for map. Basic itinerary starts in Quebec City. We make our way to Baie Comeau and then on to Labrador City. The first couple of days are fairly long drives. We then go to Happy Valley and Cartwright before taking the ferry from Red Bay to St Anthony in Newfoundland. From St Anthony we travel to Gros Morne National Park. This will be our base of operation for several days and give everyone plenty of rest and relaxation time. The trip concludes with a travel South to Port Aux Basque and the ferry to Nova Scotia. From there it is a journey back to home.

-You will share driving responsibilities with the other travelers in your vehicle.
-The ability to visit places and see things that are inaccessible to larger vehicles and groups.
-To be a "participant" in an adventure (sharing driving and camp responsibilities with other team members) versus a tourist, where everything is done for you.

You must be at least 15 years of age to participate and be in moderately good health as there will be some physical activity.
