While on our trek up the Dempster Highway through Fort McPherson, NT we delivered a copy of Land Rover Monthly to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police barracks. The issue delivered was Volume 7, Number 7.

 

In a brief photo ceremony, our group presented the magazine to Constable Ian Campbell. This issue contained the article about Ted Matthews (advisor to this expedition), and his group who had been rescued by the RCMP nearly two years ago on his trek to Tuktoyaktuk. Sadly, the barracks change personnel every two years and the men who assisted Ted’s group had been transferred. They will gladly keep the issue and share the article with all of the locals.
