Drive The Globe is planning another epic adventure. This trip will encompass the Americas. Starting in Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina, we will wind our way through South America, Central America and finally across the USA to finish in New York City. Vehicles will be shipped one way from the US and participants will fly from New York. Further details will be posted as they become available. We expect to travel with around 4-6 vehicles.

ONE TOUGH ROAD! The final itinerary is being sorted out currently. What we know so far: The vehicles will be shipped to Southern Argentina where they will be met by the participants. We will be exploring Patagonia, Tierra Del Fuego and Argentina and Chile as we make our way slowly North. We expect to weave about the continent quite a bit. Buenos Aires, Santiago and Rio De Janeiro are on the list of Southern cities to see. We expect to make a very high altitude passing of the Andes Mountains and a fairly low passing of the Amazon River basin. Countries visited in South America should include; Argentina, Chile, Uraguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. We will be taking a ferry to avoid the very famous Darien Gap area (maybe some day it will be safe of an expedition?) and entering Central America via Panama. The trip will visit every Central American country incuding; Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize and Mexico. We will then cross the Rio Grande and head across the USA to our final destination of New York City. All told we estimate about 29,000 kilometers! If you have ever dreamed of seeing the Amazon, Patagonia, Inca or Aztec ruins, the Andes Mountains or th beaches of Rio this might be the trip for you. |

-You will share driving responsibilities with the other travelers in your vehicle. -The ability to visit places and see things that are inaccessible to larger vehicles and groups. -To be a "participant" in an adventure (sharing driving and camp responsibilities with other team members) versus a tourist, where everything is done for you. You must be at least 15 years of age to participate and be ijn moderately good health as there will be a fair amount of physical activity.
